These are guaranteed to be the closest match to General Motors factory panels when originally produced. Square-edged and flat, not puffy like many of our competitorsâ panels. Offered in original Madrid grain vinyl.Our â68 panels can’t be distinguished from factory originals. Each line and embossed stitch is an identical recreation. We offer a completed, enhanced version of this panel that features formed, high-quality chrome trim. There is a huge difference between the quality of our 1968 panels and the style others sell. Panels available elsewhere use “unformed” Mylar, which are force glued into the configuration of the panel causing the curved sections of the chrome trim to look “bunched-up”. Our panel has no such problems since our tooled chrome is pre-formed during the tooling process. This panel set does not include the top rail. Please re-use your existing top rails. Remember to order our exact reproduction door panel water shields. The water shields are precisely die-cut from special âwax-likeâ paper for a factory fit and are designed to help reduce the damaging effects of moisture to your panels such as mildew, warping and premature rot.
